UW-Superior adds Jordan Milan as Director
August 07, 2017The University of Wisconsin-Superior has named Jordan Milan as its new Director of Strategic Communications and Special Assistant to the Chancellor.
“As the first person in my family to attend college, I know firsthand the positive effect of higher education on people’s lives,” said Milan. “I am honored and delighted to work with UW-Superior to share its story and the impact this institution has on its students and the greater community.”
In her new role, Milan will oversee the marketing and communications strategy, serve as the primary representative related to public and legislative relations and act as a liaison between Chancellor Renée Wachter and all public entities including community, legislators, state and local government officials.
“Jordan possesses nearly 15 years of experience in the areas of marketing and communications in both industry and educational sectors,” said Wachter. “She has extensive experience working to develop and implement communication and marketing efforts for undergraduate admissions in a cross-departmental effort to create campaigns that guide prospective students to enrollment and serve the goals of the institution.”
Previously, Milan served as the senior marketing planner with a focus on undergraduate admissions at The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn. She also worked as an account executive for WestmorelandFlint(now Flint Group) in Duluth and as a marketing and communications coordinator for the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.
She received a Project Management Certification, bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of St. Thomas.
Milan began her new position at UW-Superior on June 26.
