Registration now open for 2022 Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival
Registration is now open for the 2022 Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival. Back after a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival will take place August 26 and 27 at Barker’s Island in Superior, Wisconsin.
Individuals can take part in the event in a variety of ways by either joining a team, creating a team or being assigned to a team. Registration and additional information are available at superiordragons.org.
New events this year include a 5k Fun Run and Tug of War. Both days of the family friendly event will feature food trucks, refreshments, a live DJ and festival emcee leading up to the awards ceremony.
Organized by Rotary Club of Superior, the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival is the largest event in Superior and has raised over $1.3 million to support charitable organizations in the Twin Ports. This year, the festival will be raising funds for 23rd Veteran, a local nonprofit focusing on military and veterans who have experienced trauma.
