DULUTH – JULY 10, 2018 – Now more local than ever, CBS 3 Duluth welcomes
new sports anchor Kelly Hinseth and announces new role for meteorologist Austin
    Haskins.

CBS 3 announces the addition of Kelly Hinseth, evening sports anchor. Hinseth is a born
and raised Minnesota sports fan. “If it’s played in Minnesota, I’m a fan and I’ll watch it,” she
says. As a Bethel University grad, Hinseth is a passionate division 3 sports fan but most
excited to cover division 1 UMD hockey.

Kelly’s sparkling personality exudes positivity and will shine on-air next to co-workers
Edward Moody, anchor, and meteorologist Dave Anderson. She touts her respect at
Edward’s professionalism and leadership, and expresses her excitement of returning saying
“As soon as I met Dave Anderson and heard his thick northern accent, I thought ‘oh my
    gosh, I’m home.’”

Before coming back to her home state of Minnesota, Hinseth anchored sports in the tri-cities
of Washington for KNDV-TV. During her college career she interned at KSTP-TV in the
Twin Cities. Career highlights include interviewing Adrian Peterson, Brian Dozier, and Karl
    Anthony-Towns.

Along with the addition of Hinseth, CBS 3 announces the promotion of Austin Haskins
to morning meteorologist. Haskins, a Solon Springs native, joins Duluth native Briggs
LeSavage and Chisholm native Kristen Vake on CBS 3 Duluth This Morning. Haskins takes
on the new role after starting at CBS 3 as a weekend meteorologist in October.

Haskins has lived in the area his whole life, as alumnus of Solon Springs High School and
a former student of CBS 3 meteorologist Dave Anderson at Northland College. Haskins
graduated with a degree in Meteorology in May of 2017.

Watch Kelly Hinseth weeknights on CBS 3 News at 6PM and 10PM. Austin Haskins is on
CBS 3 Duluth This Morning from 5AM to 7AM.
