Lakehead Constructors Welcomes Kirk Burback, Senior Construction Manager/Estimator

Lakehead Constructors is proud to welcome Kirk Burback as the Senior Construction Manager/Estimator for our Water and Wastewater Division.

Kirk comes to us with more than 19 years of experience in the water/wastewater industry. He has a deep background in project estimating, bidding and purchasing. An experienced drafter, Kirk led teams that developed 3D models of wastewater treatment plants to aid in pipe routing and to facilitate better coordination between disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural).

In his new role, Kirk will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including budgeting, estimating, subcontractor/supplier bid packages, bid evaluation/risk review, and final reviews prior to submittals. He will also lead project teams and be responsible for ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedules and client expectations.

Outside of work, Kirk is the proud father of a daughter, Maddie, and lives in the Twin Cities with his significant other Ginger, a Labradane dog and their cat. He is an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoys competitive shooting and values spending quality time with his friends and family.

In his professional life, Kirk focuses on building trusting relationships with clients, design engineers, vendors, subcontractors and field staff. He’s got a reputation for building strong teams and being the person to turn to for help with questions on project design and constructability. Please help us welcome Kirk to LCI!
