Humane Society of Douglas County Presents 12th Annual “Paws for Love” Gala
A Fabulous Fundraiser for our Furry Friends

SUPERIOR, Wisconsin – On Saturday, April 21, 2018 the Humane Society of Douglas County (HSDC) will hosts its 12th annual “Paws for Love” gala at UW-Superiors Yellowjacket Union. This magnificent fundraiser features fine food, live and silent auctions, dessert auction, and entertainment.

“HSDC’s annual Paws for Love" fundraiser is something you won't want to miss!  Says Board President, Michelle Porter.  “Come and have a great time while supporting the homeless animals of Douglas County.”

Last year, the event raised over $35,000 - that goes directly into care for the animals.  Every animal that enters the facility is dewormed, vaccinated, and given immediate medical attention when necessary.  All animals are vet checked, spayed or neutered, micro chipped, and temperament tested before being adopted.

For over 42 years, HSDC has been a leader in the protection of companion animals both at the state and national level.  Today, HSDC embodies the highest standards in animal welfare in a state-of-the-art facility in Superior.  Each year, we match over 1,000 homeless pets with loving families.
