DULUTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ANNOUNCES THE RETURN OF SUN COUNTRY AIRLINES’ NON-STOP SERVICE TO FORT MYERS
Duluth, MN – June 9, 2026 – The Duluth Airport Authority (DAA) is pleased to announce that Sun Country Airlines will return to the Duluth International Airport (DLH) for the upcoming 2027 winter season, restoring highly anticipated non-stop service from DLH to Fort Myers, Florida (RSW).
After a one-season hiatus, the reinstated route will resume on January 29, 2027, providing Northland travelers with direct access to the beaches and warmth of Southwest Florida through April 12, 2027.
The direct service will operate twice weekly, primarily on Mondays and Fridays, with some weeks operating on Thursdays and Sundays. This will offer a convenient schedule for weekend getaways and extended vacations.
“We are excited to welcome Sun Country back to Duluth. The Fort Myers route has been a favorite for our travelers, and its return is great for our community,” said Tom Werner, Duluth Airport Authority Executive Director. “To ensure this service returns year after year, it is crucial that the community demonstrates strong demand by choosing to fly local.”
The resumption of this seasonal route directly responds to significant community demands for leisure travel destinations. Tickets are available for purchase now at SunCountry.com.
