Stop by and check out the great collection of wooden boats of all shapes and sizes at the 11th annual "Woodies on the Water Festival".
"Woodies on the Water" a wooden boat show featuring wooden pulling boats, canoes, kayaks, sailboats and powerboats. The show takes place near Barker's Island Marina, on the Superior Bay (of Lake Superior).
Be sure to take some time to chat with the proud collectors and boat builders, each as interesting and unique as the boats themselves.
The public is invited to vote for their favorites ("Best of" in four different catagories and "Best in Show"). With the sleek, smooth lines, detailed handiwork and the extrodinary glow of kiln dried wood- polished to a fine sheen deciding on your favorite is always tough. Come see for yourself Unique beauty from bow to stern.
The festival is free and open to the public.
