A Water Film Night will be held on Thursday, January 29 from 6 pm – 8:00 pm at Swenson Hall Room 1012 on the University of Wisconsin – Superior campus. Ten films will be shown in one night - from 30 seconds to about 30 minutes in length on assorted water topics. Films to be shown include the 2010 Grandmothers Gathering for Gitchigaaming, 50 Days of Sea Kayaking in Lake Superior National Marine Reserve, Toilet to Tap, MN Land Trust St. Louis River, and more videos. Water is on the move all the time. Whether it’s in a lake, coming out of our tap, in us, at a wastewater treatment plant, or in a cloud above water is a part of life. We make a difference in the water with what we do on land and in water. This event is free and open to the public. The event address is 1610 Weeks Ave.
The film festival is sponsored by the City of Superior Environmental Services Division and the UWS Lake Superior Research Institute.
