Tomfoolery is a musical revue of the witty, wicked, and thoroughly twisted world of satirical songwriter Tom Lehrer. Many of the songs were first performed in the 1950s and 60s and became infamous for their witty naughtiness, and with titles like ''Poisoning Pigeons In the Park'', ''The Masochism Tango'', and ''The Vatican Rag'', it's easy to understand why. Other popular Tom Lehrer songs in the show include ''The Elements'', where he sets the names of the chemical elements to a Gilbert & Sullivan tune.
Tomfoolery features an all-UW-Superior alumni cast and crew of Chris Nollet, Christa J. Schulz, and Cheryl Zupec onstage, with Sharon Dixon-Obst directing. And fresh off the plane from Oregon, where he is a fixture in the Portland music and theater scene, Tomfoolery will also include the Twin Ports return of UW-Superior alumnus David Saffert.
