We invite you to join us on Saturday, September 29, 2012, for the Humane Society of Burnett County's Walk for the Animals fundraiser in Siren, WI – the weekend of the Siren Harvestfest. Lots of fun events will be going on in Siren, so plan on spending the day! You can walk alone, with friends and family, and with your dog (all pets must be leashed and up-to-date on vaccinations). We will be having a 5K walk, but if that is too much for you, you can do the 1 mile walk. We will start promptly at 1:00 p.m. at Veterans Park, located by Hanson Avenue and Main Street in Siren.
ADDITIONAL EVENTS:
After the Walk, we will be having a Lookalike Contest (dog and owner) and a ''Wee Waggers Race'' (dogs 25 pounds or under). Medals for first, second, and third place will be awarded. If you've paid your registration fee for the Walk, you can also participate in these extra events. If you do not want to participate in the Walk, but would like to participate in the Lookalike Contest and/or Wee Waggers Race, you can do so for $15 (tax-deductible donation). These events will start after the Walk (approximately 2:00-2:30 p.m.).
REGISTRATION:
The registration is $15 (tax-deductible donation) per participant. Children under 12 are not required to pay the registration. However the child must be accompanied by their parent/guardian and a registration form must be completed for both the parent/guardian and the child – along with a registration fee for the parent/guardian.
