A FREE performance of sea shanties and sailing songs performed by local musicians Beth & Les Hazelton and Friends. Along with the performance, this program includes images and recordings that reveal the history of these unique songs.
This program is the first in our program series, "The Legend Lives On: 40 Years Since the Fitz Went Down," a series that recognizes the 40th anniversary of the sinking of the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald on November 10, 1975.
Refreshments will be provided by Friends of the Library. Participants can enter their names into a free drawing for a prize donated by Lake Superior Magazine.
