Get up close with this shallow protected waterway on a paddle trip (kayak or canoe, depending on what you'd prefer) that passes past protected forests before emptying into the St. Louis River freshwater estuary.
Equipment and instruction will be provided. Participants who are experienced paddlers and those who have never picked up a paddle are welcome!
This program will be outdoors, so participants should dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.
Participants will meet at the Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve on Barkers Island and carpool to the Superior Municipal Forest.Cost: $15.00

Meet and carpool to the Superior Municipal Forest: From the traffic light at the intersection of US Hwys 2 and 53 (Belknap Street and East Second Street in Superior), drive toward Lake Superior and cross the short causeway onto Barker's Island.
