Relay For Life of Douglas County - Paint The Town Purple

June 6th - June 12th, 2015, help the American Cancer Society "Paint the Town Purple" in support of Relay For Life of Douglas County. Join us as we transform the county purple.

We would like to see businesses decorate their storefronts in purple to promote our Relay For Life event coming up on July 10th. We can provide you with a supply kit (free will donation suggested), that can be delivered to you or picked up at the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce. To order a kit, contact Sara Mowchan at 715.416.1568 or sara.mowchan@cancer.org. You can use the enclosed poster, pull string bow, crepe paper stremers, balloons, table cloth as is, or it can be cut into strips and tied into bows. You can use purple merchandise in your window, purple sidewalk chalk, purple flowers, anything you can imagine. We encourage you to be creative. The Relay For Life committee will be judging displays on Saturday, June 6th. Prizes will be awarded.

Relay For Life is a life changing event that brings together more than 3.5 million people every year to Celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and empower individuals and communities to fight back against a disease that takes too much from too many.

In addition to life saving research, education and advocacy activities, the American Cancer Society provide hundreds of patient-related services to the residents of Douglas County each year.

Carnival 4:30-9:00pm, Opening Ceremonies 6:00pm, Luminaria Ceremony 9:45pm, Fight Back Ceremony 8:00am.
