Red Mug Espresso presents ''A Mug of Paint'' Exhibit

Stylistically influenced by a childhood in Liberia, the paintings of Tim Young are rich in color, lively shapes and layered detail. While his pieces are inspired by simple details of life--a conversation over coffee, a bird flying overhead or a plate of good food--he develops those simple moments with expressive grandeur and "painterly abstraction".

Tim attended the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI, a consortium of Minneapolis College of Art and Design, where he developed his studio skills. He now lives and works in Grand Marais, MN, with his daughter, Madeline.
