Come and celebrate Lake Superior Day on July 19th at Barkers Island Festival Park in Superior, WI. All around Lake Superior, the third Sunday of July is set aside to celebrate and learn about Lake Superior. The free Superior celebration will include hands-on educational activities and displays, family fun, free kites and kite-flying for all youth, live music, Moonwalk inflatable fun, a beach sweep, face-painting, awards ceremony, door prizes, and a whole lot more. A free hot dog lunch is available to all. Bring your lawn chair, enjoy the view, and have a relaxing afternoon by the Big Lake!
A Lake Superior Essay Contest for youth in grades K-8 is also part of the Lake Superior Day Celebration. Division winners will receive a $25 gift card and be able to read their essays at the Celebration.
