    Come celebrate the greatest of the Great Lakes with Lake Superior Day on Saturday July 15th Barker's Island.

    The public is invited to celebrate Lake Superior Day on July 15th at Barkers Island in Superior, WI. Drop in for live music (Bill & Kate Isles, Breanne Marie, and Laughing Fox), kids' activities, poetry, student performances, art, informational booths, and local vendors from 11am until 4pm, all focused on celebrating and appreciating our Great Lake.

    Fun Activities for Kids 11:00am to 4:00pm
    Live Music, Poetry and Performances 12:30 to 4:00pm
    Food and local farm fresh goods 11:00am to 4:00pm
    Half price tours of the SS Meteor Whaleback Ship 11:00am to 4:00pm (last tour departs at 4)
    'Postcards from Our Estuary' Art Exhibit 1:00 to 4:00pm
    Learn About Our Lake 11:00am to 4:00pm
    Movie Showings in the Cargo Hold of the SS Meteor: Paddle to the Sea at 4:00pm and Walk Around the Lake at 4:30pm

    **Those interested in learning how to slow the flow of water during rainstorms, protecting water quality in Lake Superior, can join a Rain Garden Design Workshop at 10AM at the Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve at 14 Marina Drive (formerly the Boathouse Restaurant). Reservations are required and space is limited- call 715-392-3141 to reserve your spot.
