Homeless Awarness Week Events

Harbor House Crisis Shelter, a ministry of Faith United Methodist Church is having "Homeless Awareness week."

Saturday, November 8th "A Night without a Home" and Kick off @ City Park by the Library (corner of Tower and Belknap in Superior) beginning at noon until noon Sunday. Monetary donations as well as food, winter clothing, and sleeping bags will be accepted. Your generosity will benefit the Center Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse (CASDA), Harbor House Crisis Shelters, Solid Rock Safe Haven and the Society of St. Vincent DePaul.

Thursday, November 13th "Helping Families in Crisis," A half day workshop at the Faith United Methodist Church, 1531 Hughitt Ave. Superior, 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Cost: $20, includes lunch and materials. We have an exciting key-note speaker, Dianne Haucly from the Reuben Lindl Family Services in the Twin Cities.

Saturday, November 15, 2008 "Empowering Women and Transforming Lives Spa Day" from 10-2 p.m., 1531 Hughitt Ave. Superior, $15 includes lunch and great freebies!
