Grandma's Marathon is a 26.2 point-to-point course run along the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior, finishing with live entertainment in Canal Park. Featuring a relatively flat and fast course along the shores of Lake Superior, Grandma’s Marathon also famously offers enthusiastic and empowering support given by tens of thousands of spectators throughout race day. Each year, runners from all over the world flock to northeastern Minnesota for this world class event with small town charm.
An entertaining and energizing lineup of local and regional bands will be on hand both Friday night and all-day Saturday to “Rock the Bayfront” during Grandma’s Marathon weekend. The event is free and open to all ages.
