On July 22 the Northwestern Wisconsin tour will be held. Tour leader, local historian, Jim Pellman, will guide the group through the areas of heaviest Finnish settlement in the Northwestern Wisconsin communities of Amnicon, Brule. Lakeside, Maple, Poplar, and Oulu. Principal stops will be at Amnicon Falls State Park, Waino Pioneer Chapel (coffee served), Finnish Cemeteries, Deep Lake Lodge (for lunch included in the price), Oulu Glassworks, and the Davidson Finnish Windmill and Eskolin Log House (tours and coffee served).
It is not necessary to be registered for the rest of FinnFest to take part in the tour.Location:Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC), Duluth, MN 55802

The participants will board first at the DECC at 8:30 a.m. and later at other designated spots including UMD. The last drop off will be made at the DECC on the afternoon return trip.
