28th Annual Mother's Day Run/Walk

Please join the YWCA Celebration of Women by participating in the 28^th Annual Mother's Day Walk Run! 

Funds generated by this event support the YWCA Health and Wellness Program with an emphasis placed on the Breast Cancer Awareness Program.  

The Breast Cancer Awareness Program at the YWCA of Duluth provides Northland area women with breast cancer screening education as well as referrals to low-cost or free mammograms and clinical breast exams in their own communities.  The vital program facilitates access to breast cancer screening services as it helps women navigate health care systems, and by assisting women in identifying and dismantling barriers to health and wellness.

In 2011 the Breast Cancer Awareness Program at the YWCA of Duluth reached more than 2000 women with information about the importance of early detection of breast cancer and referred over 200 women for mammograms and clinical breast exams.
