Message from the President

Welcome to Superior & Douglas County

Our Chamber enters our 145th year of existence, and 2023 promises to be one of the most exciting in our history!  We are committed to an ambitious scope of work that is solely devoted to delivering value to the members.  In defiance of challenges, the Chamber stands as a beacon of light and hope for all businesspersons.  By working together, we will strengthen our cohesiveness and empower your voice. 

One of our goals this year is to ask all Chamber and Community members, "Who's In Your Circle?" This will be a campaign to educate our community about doing business with businesses in our community first. Are you supporting those businesses that support our community? So as you look through our chamber directory we encourage you to do business with our Chamber members.  Not only do they believe in the Chamber’s goals, they also support the business community through their investments and sponsorships.  Doing business with other Chamber members is the best way to thank them for their continued investment and ensure that the companies of the future continue to have this level of support.

The Chamber serves as a unifying spirit to the Douglas County business community. As the premier advocacy organization for business in Douglas County, we are working to promote a healthy and vibrant economy while protecting and advancing the interests of our members and the community as a whole. The Chamber works in conjunction with citizens, businesses, educational and governmental partners to provide a positive business environment and improve the quality of life.  The Chamber provides networking events, educational opportunities and is a resource to those visiting our community.

I ask three things of you: 1) ENGAGE and BE INVOLVED!  You MUST make time to work on your business rather than in your business.   Your reach and influence grows every time you participate. You learn more and meet more people every time you attend a meeting or an event.  We will inform and encourage you to participate.  2)  Adopt a “Pay It Forward Mentality" – assist a business colleague by getting them introduced to the opportunity and momentum of the Chamber and,   3) ABC – Always Buy Chamber – patronize other Chamber members.  By prioritizing commerce with folks in our own communities, we keep our spending local and thereby enrich our own vendors and service providers.  We become even more effective when we work together to unite more and more businesses.
