
"Happy Birthday United States Marine Corps! On November 10th, the Marine Corps turns 250 years old. From Philadelphia, the birth place of the Marine Corps, to every ‘clime and place where we could take a gun,’ the Marines have an illustrious history of service to our Nation. Highlights and personal anecdotes will be presented in this fast-paced journey through 250 years of living up to the Marine Corps motto of, “Semper Fidelis” or Always Faithful."
Presented by LtCol Donna Bergstrom, who retired from the United States Marine Corps Reserve in 2010. She obtained her reserve commission through the United States Marine Corps’ Officer Candidate School (OCS-87) as a Second Lieutenant in December of 1987. She graduated from The Basic School in June 1988 with a Military Occupational Speciality (MOS) in Signals Intelligence/Electronic Warfare Officer. She went on to serve over twenty years with assignment highlights of: Commanding Officer, Galeta Island, Republic of Panama; Detachment Commander, Misawa, Japan; and Military liaison, for Senator Mikulski, Washington, DC.
